Inauguration of Damiani classroom at the Rashid Center for People of Determination

A classroom named after Damiani was inaugurated in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Mariam Othman, Founder and CEO of the Rashid Center, and Guido Damiani, President of the Damiani Group, at the Pediatric Therapy Center at the Rashid Center for People of Determination, the Dubai-based non-profit humanitarian organization that provides quality education and therapy to children with disabilities and special needs.

The naming follows the support interventions and donations made by Damiani to support the activities of the Center, a facility of excellence and an example of quality services offered to children with motor and learning disabilities.

The Center’s mission is to develop each student’s ability to actively participate in learning, by designing and delivering an integrated program of education and therapy which will enable them to take continuous steps towards learning and experience success.

The Damiani classroom is where the music classes and courses will be held, one of the most important educational, rehabilitative, and therapeutic tools of the Center, which was established 25 years ago on land donated by the current Sheikh H. H. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and directed with passion, enthusiasm and excellent results by Ms. Mariam Othman.

“When I got to know Mariam Othman and the Rashid Center for People of Determination, I saw the professional quality and humanity expressed in their activities”, said Guido Damiani, President of Damiani Group, “and I immediately wanted to support their projects. I am happy to be able to contribute to the excellent work that Mariam and all the staff are carrying out and I am particularly honored that the classroom dedicated to Damiani is the one for music, an art in which Italy represents historical excellence and also because it is one of the activities preferred by the children at the Center.
